Mo James

Meet Mo!

Mo is a double Merle Aussie who was abandoned by a breeder. He is deaf but seems to have great vision. He is currently on a hormonal treatment for low cortisone levels and is on medicine to see if we can resolve that permanently. While he does have puppy energy and loves to play he tends to be quiet and calm. He gets along well with anyone he meets - pet or person. He pays close attention to where his humans are at and tends to follow well unless he is in an environment he is comfortable in. He is working on potty training and crate training. He does enjoy the company of another dog and would be best fit with a companion whom can be his ears.

Double Merle Ausssies are the result of a genetic defect from improper breeding of 2 Merle colored Aussies. This creates a genetic cocktail of potential issues with hearing, vision, and neurological. While they are easily trained using hand signals, voice commands, or even vibrating colors, not all defects necessarily present themselves early on. Committing to these dogs now means committing to consistent checkups around the potential defects and care should something present itself in the future.
